PREMIER’S APPEAL
ALL-ROUND CO-OPERATION.
SEAMEN’S SUPPORT.
Per Press Association
WELLINGTON, Jan. 11. The monthly stop-work meeting of the Federated Seamen’s Union considered yesterday a letter from the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage), forwarded from the national office of the Federation of Labour, appealing to the whole of the Trade Union movement to assist the Government to implement its policy. The letter pointed out that the standard of living the people were enjoying could only be maintained bv increasing production, and the wholehearted co-operation of the workers was sought. The meeting unanimously pledged itself to support the appeal.
