LOAN TO ST. HELENA.
(British Official Wireless.) # RUGBY, Doc. 23. The Colonial Secretary (Mr Malcolm MacDonald), referring in the House of Commons to measures for the rehabilitation of St. Helena, said that he recently approved, on the recommendation of.the Governor of the island, a subsidy to enable flax mills to reopen, to cover loans to small property-own-ers for house repairs, and to aid a rise of wages for Government employees.
St. Helena is a British island in the South Atlantic. It was here that Napoleon died in exile in 1821.
