COLYTON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, Dec. 23. Miss Greta Bridgeman has returned home from Dunedin, and 'is on holiday with her parents, Waiata. Miss Ngaere Williamson has returned homo from the Wellington Training College and will commence teaching duties in Feilding with the re-opening of school. Miss N. Byers, of Tasmania, is on holiday as the guest of Mr and Mrs P. Palmer, lleid’s Line. Mr Angus Burr has been compelled to re-enter hospital, but he is making rapid progress towards reebvery. Owding to the persistent wet weather, farmers are experiencing much difficulty in completing their shearing and haymaking operations; many crops have been ruined, although newly sown crops have, germinated rapidly, while the growth of grass is prolific.
