TOUCHING GIFT.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 22

An unusual and touching token at once of thrift and generosity was received by the Mayor this morning in the guise of five worn and tattered hank notes of the value of £3O, which had obviouslv been stored away for many years. An unsigned message with the parcel, apparently in a woman’s handwriting, read -.“A thanksgiving offering for the Chinese refugee children.”
