111 the course of an inspiring address at the Rotorua High School pnzc-giv-ing ceremony, Dr Marsden (Duectoi of Scientific and Industrial Rescaich) stressed the necessity for the j outh of New Zealand to keep itself abreast with modern developments and to maintain and expand its educational standards. The hone of the future was with the youth of the counties. They must show themselves equal to the calls that would be made upon them and ready to understand and to use to the best advantage the great powers which science would put in their hands.
