DANCE RECITAL.

A lengthy programme displaying all the varied phases of the art of dancing will be presented by Mies Jean Scott’s pupils at their recital on Thursday. The opening “Blue Danube” operatique ballet will be presented by senior pupils in long blue ballet frocks and the juniors in short frocks of a paler blue. A gavottee will be presented by 30 pupils, the colour scheme being violet and. green. Beautiful operatic dancing will be seen and there will be three tap ballets. National dancing is always liked and Miss Scott’s pupils depict Highland flings and reels with the liveliness and grace to be expected from young people taught by such an able exponent of this type of dancing. The solo numbers will also present variety and originality.
