CRICKET. At Woodville, on Saturday, a cricket match was begun between V oodviile and Old Boys. The former began badly when the opening batsman, Bolton, was run out for one run. The only double-figure scorer for Woodville was P. Brandon. The innings ended with only 58 runs on the board. Bailey took 5 for 21, Fredrickson 2 tor 10 and Reid 2 for 13. Opening for Old Boys, Reid and Brenton-ltule carried on until 21 runs were scored, when the latter was bowled. Bailey then beacme associated in a partnership with Reid which playing back to a ball from Charles, hit his wicket. His score was then 58. Reid carried on until time was called, his score being 73 not out.
