U.S. NAVAL HONOURS.
FOR BRITISH OFFICERS. Received November i 9, 5.5 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 18. His Majesty the King gave an audience to-day to Admiral R. H. 0. LanePoole upo-i his relinquishment of the Australian Command. On behalf of President Roosevelt, the United States Ambassador (Mr J. P. Kenndyf will present the Navy Cross to Vice-Admiral Crabbe and Lieuten-ant-Commander Barbow. and the Distinguished Service Medal to Rear-Ad-miral Holt and Captain George O’Donnell of the British gunboats Bee and Ladybird in recognition of the rescues they effected following the bombardment of the United States gunboat Panay by the Japanese in the Yangtse River.
