GRAIN AND PRODUCE.
CANTERBURY MARKET QUIET. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH Nov. 18. There has been little activity in the Canterbury grain and produce markets this week. In fact, the in-bctween-seasons period has been reached, and business will be practically at a standstill from now until, the middle of January. The only line for which there has been much inquiry has been chaff, but merchants are finding good bright quality very difficult to obtain. Their price to farmers is £4 10s a ton. Business in the potato market has finished for the season, and other prices are only nominal in the meantime. OVERSEAS QUOTATIONS. Received November 18 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 17. "Wheat cargoes are dull and parcels arc easier. Futures. —London : November, 22s lOd per quarter; March. 22s lOd. Liver]>ool: December, 4s sjd per cental; March, 4s 6Jd; May, 4s 6d. The spot trade is quiet. Australian, ex ship, 2Gs Pd. Flour is quiet; Australian, ex store, 21s 6d to 22s 6d. Chicago futures. —December: 641 cents; May, 66J; July, 66J.
