FAT STOCK EXHIBITS.

PRAISE BY JUDGES. Commenting upon the fat lambs which he judged with his son, Mr E. C. Deighton, as associate, Mr K. W. Deighton (Marten) said they were a very good exhibit of excellent pens, particularly interesting being the young farmers’ and novice classes, which gave evidence of careful selection, and should be encouraged. Some excellent pens in the novice class had, unfortunately, to be put out, because they were rather too fat. The export class was very good, and it was difficult to separate the exhibits. Judge of the fat cattle, Mr W. R. Anderson (Taihape) said that the chilled beef class was one of wonderfully good cattle, but in' his opinion two or three of the exhibits were over the stipulated weight of 7501 b. The single bullock and best bullock were outstanding.
