FOSTER BEATS ALLEN. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 19. Johnny Foster, 106 t 91b, easily outpointed George Allen, of Gisborne, list 31b. in a 12-round professional match to-night. Foster had too much ringcraft for his younger opponent who, despite an advantage in reach and height, cpuld make little headway against his much more clever and experienced opponent. The last few rounds were all in Allen’s favour.
