CZECH REFUGEES.

ADMITTANCE TO DOMINION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 19. Agreement with the cabled statement of the "High Commissioner for New Zealand (Mr W. J. Jordan) that New Zealand was prepared to admit as many Czech refugees as possible to tho limit of its requirements was expressed by the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. .J. (savage) in an interview this evening. “Mr Jordan a statement is sound, and I agree with what he says,” 6aid Mr Savage. “Our first duty is to the British people, and after that we wifi naturally do what wo can for others. Although I have had representations by individuals, no official overtures have so far been made to the New Zealand Government to admit refugees from Czechoslovakia into this country/’ he added.
