HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
BADGE DAY PREPARATIONS. The Palmerston North Hospital Women’s Auxiliary met yesterday afternoon, Mrs M. Aitchison presiding. Others present were Mesdames W. H. Richardson, W. Mouldey. A. Wilson, A. E. Mansford, F. J. Nathan, S. J. Parkes (secretary) and Miss M. Clarke.- * Apologies for absence were received fyom Mesdames F. Bennett, E. L. Christian, J. Stone, J. A. Nash, J. Saunders, T. R. Moore, and Miss L. M. Banks. The secretary reported that three families had been assisted during the last month. The date of the street collection was fixed for November 3 and the secretary was instructed to secure badges. It was decided to make the annual visit to the Awapnni Home on December 7. Accounts amounting to £lO 6s 2d were passed for payment. It wap decided to hold a special meeting to make final arrangements for badge day at the end of October in the City Council Chambers. Mrs Nathan was welcomed back after a lengthy absence. It was decided to forward Mrs J. A. Nash a letter expressing sympathy with her in her illness.
