FINES AT TE AROHA. Per Press Association. TE AROHA, Oct- 20. In the Magistrate’s Court, beiore Mr W. R. Freeman , S.M., Brian Coombe, a hairdresser, of Te Aroha, was charged with carrying on the business of a bookmaker. DetectiveSergeant Thompson deposed defendant was betting in a small Say. He was fined £2O and costs. Arthur George Hill, a storekeeper, of Waihou, who was charged similarly, was fined £ls and costs.
