An anticyclone still covers eastern Australia and tho western Tasman Sea, but the centre has moved southwards, thus favouring southerly rather than southwesterly winds over New Zealand. Forecast: Moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly winds. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, "and rain probable, but improving to-morrow. Temperatures coql. Seas rather rough. RIVER GAUGE.
