BARTER AGREEMENT
ITALY AND EASTERN NATIONS. Received September 1, 12.25 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 31. The Daily Telegraph’s Rome correspondent says: An Italian-Japanesc-Manchukuoan barter agreement, which was signed on July 5, trebles the total of mutual trade compared with 1937. Japan and Manchukuo take Italian exports, including woollen textiles and felt hats, to the extent of £11,500.000 annually and Italy reciprocates,- her imports’ including soyabeans and egg volks. She also receives “most-favour-ed nation’’ treatment in public works.
