THE NUREMBERG RALLY
800,000 NAZIS PRESENT. BERLIN, Aug. 31.Eight hundred thousand Germans are attending the Nuremberg rally, of which at least half will slee'p under canvas. Those present include 80,000 storm troopers, 313,000 "political leaders," whose job is to instruct the masses in Nazi ideals, contingents from the compulsory labour corps and the Hitler Youth Movement, including 9000 Austrians. rierr Ley, addressing a large gathering in connection with the Congress at Stuttgart, declared: "Our Ministers in London and Paris know that Herr Hitler does not leave things to chance like the ex-Kaiser. Germany is resolved to have the space her numbers demand. She has the best army in the world. Geneva no longer exists."
