MAIDEN RACE.

WEIGHTS. FOR WANGANUI. Two of the six furlong events on Die opening day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting next week have drawn large fields, fiiero being 217 entrants in the Maiden Race and 39 in the Durie Hack Handicap. Divisions may bo necessary if there are large acceptances, and a similar situation applies to the second day with 38 nominations for the Moutoa Hack Handicap and 42 for tile Trail Handicap. However, facilities arc available at Wanganui for handling very large fields. In the Maiden Race 26 of the entrants are three-year-olds, and several of them claim Guineas engagements. The conditions provide for three-year-olds carrying 7.12 and four-year-olds and upwards 8.5. The following is tho list of weights for tho respective entrants:
