PRACTICES IGNORED.
RUNNERS LEFT OUT OF TEAM. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 1. The outstanding runner in Auckland this year, J. W. Savidan, has been left out of the Auckland team for the cross-country championships at New Plymouth on September 10. His clubmate L. H. Watters, has also been omitted. This action was taken by the selectors because both runners ignored requests to attend practice.
