RAIN STILL PROBABLE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 29. Pressure is still high to the east, though falling somewhat, while over the south Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand it is low. Pressure gradients have, however, on the whole, decreased and a change to the westerly type of weather is apparently developing. Forecast. —Light to moderate, but increasing northerly to north-wester-ly winds. Weather: Cloudy to overcast with intermittent rain still probable. Temperatures, mild ; seas, gather rough to rough. RIVER GAUGE. Noon.—3ft. 6in.
