AMATEUR ROAD RACE.
The race conducted by the. Manawatu Amateur Cycling Club on Saturday was over a distance of 30 miles. The conditions were very cold, a head wind being mot with for most of the journey. Ten riders faced the starter, the winner being K. Attwell, off the limit inark. Next week the club will not hold a race, as most of the riders will be competing in a 25-mile race conducted at Feilding by the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. Results are as follow :
K. Attwell (llmin), 1; B. Hall (2J min,), 2; H. Rogers (23min.), 3. Fastest times: B. Hall, lhr. 26min. 30sec„ L; H. Rogers, lhr, 26min. 30 l-sset\, 2.
