HARRIER DANCE.

The Palmerston North Harrier Club held a most enjoyable dance on Saturday night in the Wnakarongo Hall in honour of the visiting harriers who had been competing in the West Coast Championships during the afternoon. The hall was decorated with red, yellow and black. streamers (the club colours), pussy willow, wattle and spring flowers. Visiting harriers and supporters were present from New Plymouth, Wanganui, Marton and Taihape, there being about 100 couples on the floor. Novelty dances introducing streamers, confetti, squeakers, etc., were held and a gay atmosphere prevailed throughout the evening. The supper arrangements were in charge of an energetic ladies’ committee, comprising Mrs J. Scott, who wore black velvet; Mrs Oxenham, lovebird green georgette; Misses Woodd, white taffeta; Perrin, lilac taffeta; Teniperton, green net. Messrs S. Oxenliam and J. "Woodd, captain and vicecaptain of the club, carried out the duties of M.C.
