COMING-OF-AGE.
On August 20 a very enjoyable evening was spent in the Oddfellows’ Hall, it being the occasion of the coming of-age of Miss Lynda Tunnicliffe, the second daughter of Mr and Mrs M. Tunnicliffe. Games and dancing were the principal features of the evening, the music being supplied by Mr S. Rabbitts and Mr M. Tunnicliffe. The duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr L. Armstrong. Miss Shirley Tunnicliffe sang “Little Old Lady” and “A Little Dash of Dublin " /
The guest of honour wore a pretty frock of mauve satin, with violet trimmings, and a halo of mauve and silver. Among those present were Mr and Mrs L. Armstrong, Mr and Mrs A. Anderson, Mr and Mrs N. Hardy, Mrs J. Martin, Mrs G. Flighty (Plimmerton),. Mr and Mrs M. Tunnicliffe, Misses B. Kemp, G. Darrow, K. McKenzie, P. McKenzie, M. Martin, M. McCarthy, E. McCrae, J. Lebas, M. Treleaven, D. Armstrong, H. and B. Tunnicliffe.
