ROYAL CHIEF IMPRESSES

FORM IN WARWICK STAKES.

Receievd August 29, 11 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 29.

The trainer, (Mr Jones) is so impressed with the showing of Royal Chief in the Warwick Stakes at tlie Warwick Farm meeting on Saturday that it is likely the horse will be withdrawn from the Spring Handicap events and reserved for the weight-for-age races. The Sydney Morning Herald says that Royal Chief gave the leaders a lot of start into) tlie straight, but if he had been a little more fortunate in securing a passage he might have been a winner. '

The Daily Telegraph says: The result of the' Warwick Stakes was not a good advertisement for New South Wales racing stock, as Stretto, Gold Rod and Royal Chief, all bred in New Zealand, filled the places and the French horse, Genetout, was fourth.
