STRUCK BY VEHICLE. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 25. Struck by a motor-truck at Patea this afternoon Dorothy Olds, aged 12, was admitted to hospital with a fractured skull. She was riding a bicycle and was thrown heavily to the road. The child was still unconscious late to-night. TRAMWAYMAN’S DEATH. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Aug. 25. The death occurred in hospital this afternoon of James Ewart, a tramway employee, who was admitted earlier in the day suffering from injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor-car while engaged in- cleaning tram-line points on the Anderson’s Bay Road, near Royal Crescent.
