GOLF. Results of a bogey competition played by members of the Pahiatua Golf Club were as follow: A division, J. Richardson 1 down, N. Rawson 1 down, J. G. Swainson 2 down, iv. Eg--1 inton 2 down; B division, A. G. Timms 4 down. Richardson and Swainson recorded 77 and 78, respectively. The Nathan Cup was retained in a match with AVoodville by six games to three. Results were: H. Lagor beat O. M. AVrigbt, R. Peebles lost to A. •1. Morgan, E. Stitt beat AV. PI. AVatson, AV. Norman beat A. \V. Bisset,
W. Barclay lost to N. Rawson, W. Hawkes lest to R. Carruthprs, A. Wiley lost to B. Owen, E. Hutchinson lost to E. Douds, N. Robertson lost to W. P Nelson. The following players have been selected to represent Pahiatua in a match with tlie Palmerston North Club on Sunday: J. G. Swainson, A. Donald, K. Eglinton, B. Donald, N. Judd, A. Morgan, R. H. Tavlor, R. Cnrruthers, E. Douds, B. Owen, J. Shekleton, P. R. Boagey, R. Mills, P. Lloyd, J. McKay. Handicap reductions are: I. C. Boyens 22, 17; L. D. Lovelock 19, 14. The draw for the first eclectic round is as follow: Mrs Darlev and Miss Taylor, Mrs Judd.jind Mrs Siddells, Mrs Eglinton and Miss Wilton, Miss Hoggard and Miss Rutherford, Mrs Nelson and Mrs Morgan, Mrs Donald and Mrs Truseott, Miss Junker and Miss Raleigh, Miss Dipk and Miss Boyd, Mrs Tait and Miss Arrow, Miss Shekleton and Miss Braggins.
BUSH BASKETBALL. The points awarded the teams competing in the basketball tournament for “the Fairweather Cup were as follow : Stars 9, Konini 7, Athletic 6, Rovers 5, Spartan 3, Hukanui 0. The new tartan uniforms have been presented to the members of the representative team which is to participate in the New Zealand tournament. Results of junior games were: Konini 1«, Woodvillc A 13; High School 30, AA’oodville R 6; Ngawapurua 15, Athletic 5; High School 21, Konini 7.
PERSONAL. Miss M. Irwin and Mr R. Irwin, of AVellingtou, are guests of Dr. and Mrs Paterson. Miss M. Paterson, of Dunedin, is visiting her parents. Mr W. L. Tattle is an inmate of a private hospital. Mr and Mrs Sutton are spending the holidays at AA’aitarere beach. Mrs A. Falloon is the guest of Mr and Mrs C. Horrax. Airs A. Hutchinson, of Auckland, is the guest of Air and Airs J. AV. Sturton. Miss G. Suisted has received advice of her appointment to the nursing staff of the Masterton Hospital. The staff of the railway station and local carriers presented Air J. Curtin, the Pahiatua stationmaster who has been transferred south, with a set of military hair-brushes in a leather case, and a razor and strop. Mr S. Macnamara, in making the presentation, expressed good wishes for success in Air Curtin’s new position.

Junior Cowan Cup ’final, Marima v. Nireaha, .at Pahiatua, 1.30 p.m. Referee, Mr Harvey. Hukanui, who are three points m the lead, have won the junior championship, Pahiatua being the runners-1 up.
