EUCHRE EVENING. (From Our. Own Correspondent.) APITI, Aug. 25. The fortnightly euchre evening in aid of the school was held on Monday. There was an excellent attendance. Prize-winners were: Miss N. Hogan and Mr G. Buckman, senr. ; consolation, Mrs D. McNichol and Mr J. McKenzie. .Owing to the popularity of these functions it was unanimously decided to continuo for a little longer. PERSONAL.

Mr and Mrs L. Little, who have been tho guests of Mr and Mrs G. 11. McIntyre, have returned to National Park. Miss Dunlop, of Levin, is Uio guest of Mr and Mrs O. V. Osborne. Mrs T. Purnell has returned homo from hospital arM is staying with her daughter, Mrs C. McKay.
