BIG TRADE DRIVE
IN SOUTH-EAST EUROPE. GERMAN MOVE. ECONOMIC EXPANSION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received August 24, 11.50 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 23. The Daily Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent says that Germany is formally launching a trade drive in South-East Europe in September, when Dr Eunk (Minister of Economics) visit Budapest, Belgrade, Sofia, Bucharest and Athens.
The idea is to make Germany the entrepot of Balkan goods, thus placing her at the head of a gigantic economic bloc stretching from the Rhino to the Black Sea.
