VALEDICTORY

AIR G. H. JARRETT. A pleasing ceremony took place at the. Palmerston North abattoir yesterday, when a presentation was made to Mr G. H. Jarrett, the meat inspector, who has been transferred to Feilding on promotion to the position of supervising inspector of the Feilding freezing works. In making the presentation, Mr A. Al. Spilman, the abattoir manager, spoke in high terms of Air Jarrett’s integrity and fairness to both master butchers and the abattoir staff over a period of 15 years. Mr Jarrett thanked the staff for the presentation, and said that, he had enjoyed his long stay very much indeed.
