On * Thursday night a five hundred card tournament was held in the hall to raise money in aid of the Chinese refugees fund. Mrs Small and Mrs M. England tied for the ladies’ first prize, the playoff being won by Mrs England. Mr K. England was the winner of the men s first prize. A one-act play was presented by the play-reading drama circle. r lhose taking part were Mesdames 11. Keith, S. I\night, K. England, and Misses K. E. England and M. England. The takings were £4 15s.
