STILL NO SETTLEMENT.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 21. No settlement of the dispute at the Westfield freezing works had been effected up to a late hour to-night. The works clerical staff assisted by volunteers from city firms completed the killing of bobby calves to-night. There was an emergency staff of about 10€) engaged. AVhile a number of calves died from starvation in the pens, the management stated that the mortality was not so high as had been anticipated.
