FOR WHITE ARMS.
If your upper arm is quite fleshy and prone to show those small, goosefleshy marks which are very noticeable and uglv when in evening dress, you will find that they will soon respond and disappear if the following treatment is carried out:—-
Procure a basin full of water which is as hot as can comfortably bo borne. Then with a good skin soap scrub the upper nart of the arm quite vigorously. Use a good stiff-bristled nailbrush and scrub until the skin tingles and becomes red. The more vigorous the scrubbing the more ciuicklv will the skin respond. Then after rinsing and drying the arms, massage vanishing cream very thickly into the skin. Carry out this treatment every night and the skin will soon become soft and white. Then there are horny elbows. The only way to cure this condition is to massage them with plenty of grease, and at the same time make a good resolution that you will never again lean your elbows upon any hard surface. An excellent way to remedv the horn mess is to procure two small pads of cottonwool. Smear the elbows very thieklv with a good skin food, strap the pads of cottonwool over the elbow with adhesive tape and allow it to remain on all night. This will give the skin ample time to absorb all the grease it can, and will not cause you the slightest inconvenience. But yon must remember that unless you are prepared to cease resting vour elbows upon tables that it is a waste of time carrying out treatments.
If powder-puffs are washed in warm water to which a teaspoon of olive oil has been added they will become softer than when new, also improving the application of powder,
