FOOTBALL MATCH.
A seven-a-side football match between teams representing the local third
grade and the training stables in McLean Street took place on Saturday afternoon, and ended in a draw, ioall. For the thirds, tries were scored by lan Pilcher, P. Grout and Upston two of which were converted by L: Pilcher. For Stables. Lewis and Hayward each registered a try,l• Burlace converting them. The latter player also kicked a penalty goal, lbe teams comprised the following: Stables.—Gilmore (capt.), Gaveney, Lewis, Haywood, Dorman, Tracey, Burlace. Dorman replaced Gostord at half time. Thirds.—L. Pilcher (capt.). I. Pilcher D. Brvson, D- Ansin, P. Grout, Upston, J. Beale. The referee was Mr F. Ansin.
