LONG WHEELBARROW PUSH
FOR WAGER OF £2OOO. SYDNEY, Aug. 19. A wheelbarrow pushing feat from Adelaide to Sydney ends about tomorrow, when the Alexander brothers, of Victoria, hope to collect a wager of £2OOO. Alex Alexander is pushing his brother Henry, who weighs 12st, from Adelaide to Sydney, a distance of 1104 miles in 10 weeks, and the trip is likely to be accomplished with a week in hand. The pair were 25 miles outside Sydney this afternoon, and are due at the city post office at noon to-morrow. Alex Alexander has lost over three stone in weight and has worn out 11 pairs of shoes during the journey.
