The report of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board on the Smithfield I market for the week ended June 30 1 states that the lamb market is a shade easier on the heavier arrivals, especially second, quality. .Consumption continues good. The market for wethers and ewes is slightly easier, with, the trade slow. With heavy arrivals and warm weather prices arc a shade easier for chilled beef. The trade is slow in New Zealand porker pigs, with lightweights easier. The market for New Zealand baconer pigs is steady and un-
changed. The following are the prices for New Zealand sheep: Crossbred, wethers, and/or maiden ewes.—4Blb. and under: s|d; ewes, 49-561 b, 3-}d. New Zealand lambs. —Canterbury, 3611> and under. 7£d: second quality, a.verage about 311 b, 7/d. Other South Island. 371 b and under, 7-J-d. North
