The Stanway cribbagc team- played \V ultima IVest, the games resulting in a win for Waituna, 27-23. With its eleven points the Stanway team still holds fourth place in the competition. The team consisted of Alessrs A. Newel, G. Chisholm, AI. Sanson, K. Marshall, J. Alacfarlane, E. Christian, I. Alarshall, T. Marshall, It. Cockburn, and A. Green.
Tuesday night was the Ping Pong Club’s evening. With a fair attendance; everybody had an enjoyable time. On Wednesday night a welcome social was held in the hall for- Mr and Mrs 1 1 ,. Dormer. Dancing and cards made the time pass all too quickly. Alusic was supplied by Air C. Callinghant, Airs Waldin (piano), and Mr E. Dernier (saxophone). Prize-winners in the card competition were: Mrs A. Green, ladies’ prize; Mrs Humphrey, men; Airs J. Parsons, ladies’ consolation; Air F. Craino, men’s consolation. Air Humphrey and Air A. Green tied and played off for the winner. Among those present, wero Alcsdamcs E. Dernier, pink satin; F. Cowdrey, J. Parsons, A. Green, F. Craine, Alisses G. Parsons, J. Short, N. Jefferies, Z. Jefferies, It; Marshall, V. Green, J. Dormer, T. Old and Messrs J. Parsons, K. Parsons, S. Gledhill, W. Sinclair, R. Turner, R. Humphrey, IJ. Humphrey, T. Alarshall, K. Green, L. Jefferies, T. Spicer, K. Hayward, R. C. Hamilton, IV. Humphrey, F. Craine, A. Green, AI. Waldin, B. AlcEwan and F. Cowdrey New residents in the district arc Air and Alrs i Mitchell' anj family, who are now occupying the farm lately vacated by Mr C. Callingham.
