SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.

Mr and Mrs F. Richards were welcomed home at a gathering of friends at Woodlands Road last evening. Miss Garry and Mr K. -Strand voiced the good wishes of many friends on their recent marirage. A nompetition was won by Miss L. Richards, and games and other items made np a very pleasant function. Mr and Mrs H. Stratford, upon their Tt.tuvn from their recent honeymoon, entertained a large number of friends at the Papatawa Hall. A congratulatory speech was made by Mr A. F. Curry, who thar.U'-d the host and hostess for the happy function. Mr Stratford made a suitable response. Malice music was supplied by Mrs O’Hagan, senr., Miss. P. O’Hagan, Mums* Hickey (21 and Mr J. Sargent. Mr P. 'l’reagus was M.C.
