ALAN LOVEDAY CONCERT.

The Male Voice Choir, in providing an outstanding concert in support of the Alan Loveday cause, are pleased that their efforts are meeting with appropriate and fitting recognition, which indicates that the people of Palmerston North are really appreciative of good music when artists of popular favour are brought to the city. On Saturday night at the Opera House Alan Loveday will have associated with him the Palmerston North Male Choir, Miss Myra Sawyer, Mr Russet! Laurenson, and a string trio under Miss D. Southey Raker. Of the visiting artists, Miss Sawyer needs no introduction to the public of Palmerston North. Her beautiful and sympathetic singing -is so well known hero as lo.make further praise unnecessary. The other visitor is a singer of really outstanding ability which places him beyond doubt as the foremost baritone in New Zealand to-day. The society is to bo congratulated on obtaining tbo services of so accomplished a performer as Mr Laurenson. The choir has been practising most conscientiously and it is confidently predicted that in balance and tone their singing will bo a most agreeable feature of the programme. To those who prefer instrumental items a trio under Miss I), Southey Raker will provide enjoyable music. The box_ plan which is receiving good attention is at : Collinson and Cuimiughame’e,
