MIDNIGHT REVELRY IN THE RIVER AVON. One dark night recently in Christchurch, great amusement was afforded by a band of youths, evidently rescuing; a bicycle which, had mysteriously found its way into the river Avon. Desperate efforts from the bank were of no avail, and finally one member of the party was obliged to remove shoes and socks and to wade into the icycold stream.
