The Australian badminton players outclassed South Canterbury to-night, winning all their matches easily. Results, with the Australian names first, are:— 1

Women’s singles.—Miss M. Horsburgh beat Miss B. Christie, 11—1, 11—0; Miss B. Cuthbertson beat Miss M. Newitt, 11—1, 11 —3. Men’s singles: T. Thompson beat H, Pateman, 15—5, 15—10; C. Craske beat W. Heads, 15—6, 15—9. Women’s doubles: Misses Cuthbertson and Horsburgh beat Misses Christie and Newitt, 15—6, 15 —1. Men’s doubles: Thompson and Craske beat Heads and Pateman, 15—5, 15 —11. Mixed doubles: Thompson and Miss Horsburgh beat Pateman and Miss Newitt, 15 —11, 15—10; Craske and Miss Cuthbertson beat ’ Heads and Miss Christie, 15—2, 15—7. In an exhibition match Craske and Miss Cuthbertson beat Thompson and Miss Horsburgh, 11 —5, 13 —14, 11—6.
