RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, June 27. Speaking to a large attendance at a meeting of the Rongotea branch of tho National Party on Saturday evening, Mr C. V. Jewell, of Foilding, stressed the necessity for each member to carry on an active campaign that would not cease till 6 p.m on polling day.. Ho followed tip his address by answering a variety of questions bearing on party affairs and before tho meeting closed was heartily thanked by the chairman (Mr D. B. Rowe), Mr E. J. Arnott, and others present. Arrangements were made to have Mr J. Power deliver an address at an early date. Tho following wero appointed to represent tr.o branch at tho annual meeting of the Manawatu electorate committee: Messrs VV. C. Gloyn, F. Burgess, E. J. Arnott, C. Hunt. R. 0. Gloyn and E. Gust) Mcsdames D.' B. Rowe, M. Bower, M. Will, and W. Davis. Mr D. B. Rowe was elected, delegate .to the electoral executive committee. Regret was expressed at- the absence from the meeting of the secretary (Mr R. 0. Gloyn) through indisposition. , ' I
