’PLANE CRASHES IN FOG.

PILOT PERISHES. CONNECTION WITH NEW ZEALAND. Received June 27, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, June 26. An aeroplane from Scilly Isles crashed in landing in a fog at Land s End. The pilot, Mr D. Dustin, who is reported to have served in New Zealand, was killed. Four of the six passengers were injured.

The cablegram originally stated the name of the pilot was W. D. Dustiny, but inquiries made by the 4 ‘Standard show that lie was Mr D. Dustin, a son of the late Mr D. Dustin, of Wanganui, and a nephew of Mr W. S. Dustin, of Palmerston North.
