WOMEN’S TOUR.

OTAGO TROUNCED. Per Pi-ess Association. DUNEDIN, June 26. Though the Otago women’s hockey team played a surprisingly good game against the English women’s touring team on Saturday, the issue was never in doubt and the superior teamwork of the visitors won the day. The game resulted in a win for England. 9—o. In the second half, when the hoavy nature of the ground appeared to have a tiring effect on the players, the English women turned every opportunity to good account, but the Otago back showed good defence. England’s goals were secured by Misses P. O’Donogliue (3), J. Wright (3), P. Shelmendine and J. Dowling one each. i \
