RUGBY LEAGUE.

KIWIS BEATEN IN BRISBANE. BRISBANE, June 25.

After leading 12 —5 in the first half, during which the Kiwi backs were brilliant and more impressive than last Saturday, the New Zealand ltugby League team tired in the second half and their tackling fell away. The final score was: Queensland ' 21, Kiwis 12. A much smaller crowd of 6000 . saw the game. The weather was sunny and warm. Midgley, Brimble and Anderson were omitted from the Kiwi’s team. The Kiwis leave Brisbane on Sunday, assured that, when they return in future years, they will be most welcome because they are a fine body of sportsmen who ,though they lost, were certainly not disgraced. Experienced coaching will ensure that they hold their own with* Australian teams in the near future. “The tour has been an education to ns,” said the Kiwi’s manager (Mr Redwood). “It will mean a better standard of play when the knowledge we have gained is handed on to our players at lipme.”
