HOPES FOR REVIVAL
LONDON STOCK MARKETS. AIUCH ACTIVITY EVIDENT. BUT BUSINESS RESTRICTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received June 25, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, June 24.
Hopes that the long-awaited revival is at last near are running high in many quarters. The markets> were, suddenly galvanised into activity by the improvement in the international outlook and a vigorous lead was given by Wall Street. . . . The volume of business, however, remains restricted and certainly does not compare with the real boom turnover level. Tlie amount of business transacted has declined steadily since the middle of the week. The marked improvement in commodity prices is due mainly to speculative buying.
