MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —A Supreme Court Judge recently stated that juries were aware that it was the insurance company which paid the claims for damages in motor accidents. This is not always correct as many motorists in the Manawatu already know to their cost. Some insurance companies refuse to pay out on portions of the claim, or refuse to recognise the claim on legal or technical points; but the motorist often finds this out alter the Court case where he was not represented by counsel. Recently the lights on a new car failed on the road and the motorist was involved in an accident while travelling slowly to the nearest village. The insurance company informed him that his policy was “null and void for driving an unworthy road vehicle. -I am, etc. ~ ul , O TJT. Letters sent for printing must be written in ink on one side of the paper only, and writers must "send in their names and addresses in full, whether they wish these to be printed or not. AVriters must say clearly whether or not their letters are being, or have been, sent to other papers.
