UNUSUAL CHARGE.
CASE AT HOKITIKA. . Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, June 24. In the Magistrate’s Court, to-day, Joseph Martini, a salesman, was charged with issuing a false document purporting to be a subpoaena, which resulted in the recipient making a journey from Weheka, 100 miles below Hokitika, to attend the Court. The Magistrate convicted accused and fined him £3, stating he thought it' a stupid prank, otherwise the maximum penalty would have been inflicted. _ ,
