Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Manawatu County Council at a Meeting to be.held at the County Offices, Sanson, on the 12th day of July, 1938, under the provisions of the “Rating Act, I 1925,” and “The Counties Act, 1920” to make and levy a Drainage Rate (on a. uniform scale) of seven-eights of one penny (£d) in the pound on the rateable value, being the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Oroua Downs Special Rating District. Such Drainage Rate to be for, a period of one year from the first day of April, 1938, to the thirty-first day of March, 1939, and shall become due and payable in one sum at the County Offices, Sanson, on Thursday, the 4th day of August, 1938. VTOTICE is hereby given that the IN Manawatu County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 12th July, 1938, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to thp borrowing of a sum of £30,000 for the purpose of sealing roads within the County of Manawatu. As security .for the purpose of repayment of the Special Loan and the payment of interest thereon the Council proposes to make and levy a Special rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny (7-32 d) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis Qf the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Manawatu.
