RUGBY FOOTBALL
TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. INTERESTING ENCOUNTERS. St. Patrick’s and Old Roys are expected to provide interesting Rugby in the principal match at the Showgrounds oval to-morrow, for the St. Patrick’s side will be strengthened by- the return ■of Hunt (a hooker) and Hehir (five-eighths), while the Old Boys team will undergo only a slight change, at the most, from, that of last Saturday. Old Boys lead St.. Patrick’s by two points on the championship table and a win for St. Patrick’s won d place the pair on equal terms' with only Kia Toa and Massey College in front in the event of Massey College beating Feilding Old Boys). Should Massey ■ College lose their match at Johnston Park, then Kia Toa only would lead Old Boys and St Patrick’s. On the other, hand, if Old Boys win their gain of' two points would enable them to become runners-up to Kia Toa The latter team will.be opposed by United in the 1.30 p.m. match at the oval, and while Kia Toa have been showing irresistible form so far, the United side include in their play all the possibilities of. a surprising result.
