BODY IN SACK
DISCOVERY IN HARBOUR.

Evans, a fisherman, ok Graham’s Beach, was fishing i in Manu-. kau Harbour this morning, he saw ran;, object floating in the water and when he had retrieved it he found it wM sack enveloping a bucket into which , the body of a month-old Maori boy child had been jambed. It is under- 1 stood that accompanying the body was., a piece of paper with a date written on it, a circumstance which may help the police in their inquiries. Mr Evans saw something floating over a sandbank where the water _i»; about four feet deep. He started engine of his launch and drew alongside the sack, thinking it was empty, but when he hauled it on board hew*® astonished to find the_ body, which spparently had been in the water for - some time. The spot where he made, his discovery is about five or six roue*; from Onehunga wharf. .
